We had a wonderful time at our monthly business meeting last night at The Club at Colony Creek! It was a jam packed meeting!!!

Founder of Pain to Purpose Amanda Wendel shared about the upcoming campaign which has almost tripled in size! Funds raised will be to provide necessities to almost 1,000 foster children. Pain to Purpose is our Goodwill for our new year.

Reminder that our Fall Membership Drive & Networking event on Oct 7. We will be kicking up our heels and line dancing at Starlight Dance Studio!!!

Teri Moten presented Sande Bilton with the Women Leading by Example Award. Teri said Sande was “an amazing force of nature: a woman of God, an entrepreneur, loving wife, mother and grandmother. I have watched you operate in grace and love and I am blessed beyond measure to call you my friend.”

Our keynote speaker this month was beautiful Shannon Longoria who is the Regional Community Outreach Coordinator, Texas General Land Office Community Development Division. Shannon explained how they are working to have a thriving community by uniting together and promote a “we care” attitude. She shared what “Keep Victoria Beautiful “ is about and their plans to help the business community.

Carole Arnold & Ann Moore Hill congratulated the group on our 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!

We were surprised with a zoom call with one of the WGTEN founders Brandi Jones!!

After our Zoom meeting, each WGTEN charter member was presented with a beautiful 5 year pen. The entire group was presented with a “wood look” notepad and we shared a delicious cake.

Don’t forget ABWA day is on Sept 22!
